Ron is the Southwest Bureau Chief for Nation’s Restaurant News, covering the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas for the largest restaurant-industry trade magazine and website, NRN.COM. He joined NRN in 1992 after working 10 years in various roles at the Dallas Times Herald newspaper, including restaurant critic, assistant business editor, food editor and lifestyle editor. Before Dallas, he worked at the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer. He also edited the Zagat Dining Guide for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and wrote for Food & Wine and Self magazines.
